It’s going to be a hot one. Keep cool, check on elderly neighbours and provide plenty of water and shade for animals.TOMORROW Tuesday January 15 is a day of Total Fire Ban (TFB) across the state.
Firefighters are on standby ready to respond and we’re asking the public to stay informed and alert.
Do not light any fires. It is illegal to light a fire in the open on a Total Fire Ban day and that includes campfires and all BBQs, including solid and liquid fuel barbecues, as well as unconventional heat sources such as rotisseries and portable grills.
Reconsider your plans to visit forests and parks during this period.
If you are already within a park or forest, the safest option is to leave early in the day.
Stay informed about the weather and be observant of what is happening around you.
Enact your bushfire plan as emergency services may not be able to respond at your location.
