Last weekend we headed out into deepest, darkest Gippsland to discover what makes Heavy Metal and Hard Rock such a vibrant part of our music community. We spoke with Peter Schulz, presenter of The Black Arts radio show on Gippsland FM, and the bands VAHRZAW and Bound South. You'll be surprised at what we found out... be sure to watch the next episode on Sunday 3 July at 7:30pm.

Hate, such a destructive emotion. It seems alive and well in America but here as well. I am struggling to stay positive in the view of all the hate directed at Muslims but even the hatred towards that group is muted why? Because the victims were from the LGBT community. By definition for some people this is not as bad as it could have been. 50 people are dead. 50 human beings who loved, laughed, cried and tried to live their lives as best as they could. So to all those out there who thought that this was not such a tragedy please look again because it was. And today why not connect with a real person by giving them a smile or a hug....Last century method of connection - Maria ... See MoreSee Less
Good morning how are lucky have we been so far with the weather? New South Wales was really battered and while the damage to the coast and homes is awful my heart goes out to the families of the three people who died in this weather event. And this is not the only place where the weather is taking a toll look at France and Germany and there is still a Flood watch alert here in Gippsland. It is winter and only to be expected but let us remember that homes can be rebuilt and land can be reclaimed but people cannot be replaced. So take care, watch and don't take any chances because you know what you are precious to someone and you will be missed. Ciao Maria ... See MoreSee Less
